WATER HOLDOUT

Fortress Pro has one of the highest levels of resistance to water penetration under hydrostatic pressure of all the weather resistive barriers on the market today.
Exceeds 900 cm of pressure per AATCC 127-2003 (very critical if the product you choose must function as the secondary line of defense for water management).

REDUCED AIR INFILTRATION

Fortress Pro’s unique design delivers excellent resistance to the penetration of air through the outside walls.
Provides continuous protection against energy robbing air infiltration and wind washing.

MOISTURE VAPOR PERMEABILITY

Water vapor permeance of 13 perms provides the right balance of moisture movement in the wall cavity.
Allows damaging moisture to escape while limiting the inward movement of moisture into the home.

DURABILITY

Fortress Pro contains a very effective stabilization package to help protect it from UV rays and thermal degradation before and after installation.
Can be left exposed for up to 120 days prior to installation of the final finish.
Backed by a 10 year limited warranty.

EASY INSTALLATION

Fortress Pro is translucent, making it easy to locate nail heads and sheathing seams during siding installation.
Tough fiber reinforcement combined with a high strength non-woven fabric provides superior tear resistance and durability with excellent staple and nail holding strength during and after installation.
Fabric structure makes it very quiet to work with, eliminating the harsh noise of wind whip – often a complaint made by installers.

PATENTED CONSTRUCTION
Fortress Pro’s unique patented microporous construction provides the ultimate in strength and durability for demanding applications.

Microporous, reinforced breathable membrane withstands the demands of installation for long-term protection against water and air penetration.
Grid of high strength fiber reinforcement is bonded to a soft non-woven fabric for a lightweight yet durable housewrap with excellent staple and nail holding strength.
Coated and Microflex® intermeshed, creating billions of mircopores. Pore sizes are smaller than a drop of water so rain won’t penetrate, but larger than water vapor molecules so water vapor will escape the wall cavity.

Fortress Pro™ Weather Protective Barrier was developed specifically to meet today’s demanding expectations for an energy-efficient and healthy living environment.
