Equipment Maintenance Technician (7/22/10)

Shift:  12PM-10:30PM, M-Th

Job Duties:

Minor welding of equipment hardware. Replace all air and electric parts, transmissions, gear boxes and hydraulic components. Conduct preventive maintenance inspection and repair of equipment. Troubleshoot minor problems of production equipment. Communicate clearly with maintenance and production staff. Follow documentation procedures to keep effective records for equipment that has had maintenance. Participate in required continuing education and training on existing and new equipment. Assist in installation and or modification of new process equipment as directed. May be called upon, at the discretion of the Department Manager, to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED required. Two years experience in mechanical equipment, hydraulics and pneumatic repair or Vo-Tech training in similar fields preferred. Skill and knowledge of maintenance and machine repair. Electrical and industrial controls trouble-shooting skills necessary. Ability to maintain accurate records. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines on repairing equipment. Welding ability. Communication skills.

 

 

 

 

QA Technical Inspector – Receiving Department

Electronic Systems Division – Sioux Falls, SD

Shift:  2:30PM-11PM, Monday - Friday

 

JOB DUTIES:

Understands drawings, specifications and standards to interpret the requirements for materials, products and processes.  Provide verification of incoming materials, subassemblies and assemblies to requirements of the purchase order, referenced specifications, applicable drawings and inspection instructions. Maintain records and files of receiving that indicate acceptance and rejections including inspection/test data and quantities. Provide the proper identification of accepted and rejected materials/products. Provide the proper documentation, labeling and segregation of nonconforming materials/products. Recommends modifications of existing processes and procedures to achieve optimum quality, performance and efficiency. Assist in the training of new/existing QA inspectors. Complete specially assigned projects related to materials, processes or product. Provide support and input to quality assurance functions to clarify and ensure compliance to all quality requirements for materials and products. May be called upon, at the discretion of the department manager or supervisor, to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature, and/or assist in other areas as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED. At least two years of quality assurance experience in electronics or related industry.  Knowledge and use of quality assurance requirements relating to system, material, process, and product conformance. Knowledge and use of mechanical/electronic test equipment. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Effective decision-making and organizational skills.
