Job Duties: Work with the Internal Sales Manager and National Market Sales Manager to meet the sales goals set forth by the National Sales Manager and the Division Manager by soliciting new business, maintaining the current customer base through regular contact and calling new potential customers. Coordinates the processing of orders from customers with the Credit, Scheduling, Traffic and Shipping departments; verifies pricing, discounts and terms on all orders.  Process sales orders including confirming, entering, and follow-up if needed. Shares information with the National Market Sales Manager to help establish a marketing plan. Contacts prospective customers to solicit new business through telemarketing under the guidelines established in the marketing plan. Sets up new potential accounts in areas determined by the National Market Sales Manager. Keeps the Internal Sales Manager and National Market Sales Manager, and company, informed of competitive sales techniques, new products, pricing, problems or unusual situations in the market. Investigates and expedites product warranty claims and complaints in accordance with marketing policies.  Issues credits to customers after approved by the Internal Sales Manager, National Sales Manager or Division Manager. Updates credit/return book with current information. Informs current and potential customers of our existing products based on application. Promotes good customer relations by satisfying customer questions, requests and complaints in a timely manner. Updates and follows through with customer reactions. Prepares price quotations, within established division guidelines and division approval, based on competitive situations and follows up on large quotations. Acts as a liaison between customers, production, traffic and shipping in resolving delivery problems, quality issues and other points of contention. Initiates customer, and potential customer, correspondence and processes sample and literature requests. Contact assigned accounts on a continual basis as instructed or required. SECONDARY FUNCTIONS: Performs account analysis at the request of the Internal Sales Manager  Assists in forecasting and establishing stocking levels for key accounts. Qualifications: Two year technical degree with two years related experience or the equivalent combination of 5-7 years of experience in related positions. Four year technical degree preferred; ChemE, ME, Chemistry. Computer experience, including the ability to use word processing, spreadsheet and data base programs (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel and Access). Good verbal and written communication skills. Basic mechanical skills. Ability to lift 50 pounds.

 

Job Duties: Provides technical assistance in the areas of new product development, product improvement, failure analysis and quality control. Duties will include laboratory testing, maintenance of laboratory equipment, helping with manufacturing trials, managing research projects, report writing and occasional field trips to investigate product failures. This position works closely with product development, business development, marketing, sales, engineering and quality control. Perform a number of standard and non-standard tests for the evaluation of product properties and performance.  Will need to become proficient at running all test equipment at EFD and be able to help develop new test procedures. Maintains laboratory testing equipment.  This includes verifying calibration, fixing minor equipment problems and contacting other sources to fix major problems. Train others how to perform laboratory tests. Assist other R&D personnel in the execution of tasks related to development projects.  Watch over product development trials in the plant, record processing information and collect samples.  Evaluate samples and write reports. Job Duties: Direct and manage the sales activities for the Applied Technology Division. Coordinate and communicate matters of mutual concern with related staff and other departments.   Maintain a very close working relationship with Product Development, Service, Marketing, and Product Management, offering and receiving direction as appropriate and resolving any issues as they arise. Job Duties: Assist the Quality Manager in implementing and administering the quality assurance system. Perform testing, support laboratory functions, manage projects, and monitor supplier performance to ensure product reliability and conformance to customer and industry specifications. Review technical data and process performance metrics for manufacturability and quality conformance issues.  Determine the normal variation in properties for EFD products. Review and perform analysis of quality data utilizing various continuous improvement tools (e.g., pareto, cause & effect, FMEA analysis, process capability analysis, GR&R, Design of Experiments, statistical analysis, etc.) to identify defect causes and optimize process yield.  Investigate root causes and implement improvement plans.  Help establish and maintain internal specifications, external specifications and technical data sheets.  Provide certifications as needed to customers. Experience with unit/regression testing, revision control systems, defensive coding practices, and providing external support for large software systems is preferred. Some experience with statistical signal processing and communications systems is desirable, but not required. Persons with strong backgrounds in computer science or electrical engineering are encouraged to apply. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is required.
